Domain Name Questions

Will I be able to access my domain name with or without the 'www.'?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain name with or without the 'www.' in front. For example, you can access the domain name "mydomain.com" by going to "www.mydomain.com" as well as "mydomain.com".

What can I expect if I am transferring a domain name to Cybersolution.biz?
If you registered your domain name with Network Solutions, Cyber Solution will handle your transfer. We will send a modification template to Network Solutions, and they will in turn send confirmation of the request via email to the administrative, and technical contact of the domain name involved. Only one person must agree to the email and reply-back to Network Solutions for the transfer to successfully go through.

If you registered your domain name with a registrar other than Network Solutions, we may or may not be able to make the transfer for you. We will contact you to let you know what steps need to be taken.

Who is InterNIC?
The InterNIC is an independent organization who, until a few years ago, was the only domain name registar. As a result, 90% of all domain names were registered through them. Many other companies can now register domain names. These include Register.com, Bulkregister.com, Tucows, etc.

Who owns the domain name if I purchased it through you?
The domain name is yours completely. If you do decide to not use us as your web host, you can still take the domain name with you to a new web host.

Do I need a domain to host a site with Cybersolution.biz?
A domain is not necessary to host your site with us. You can use what is called a sub-domain. If you use this method, your site can be accessed in the format http://yourname.cybersolution.biz/. You can replace the word "yourname" with anything you want. A domain looks much more professional for a business site, but is usually unnecessary (and is often a waste of money) for a personal site.

Where should I register my domain name?
We recommend you to register your domain name with us for the best service and reasonable price.

You may also visit the following sites in order to compare the prices or get your domain name registered with them.

http://www.networksolutions.com/
http://www.stargateinc.com/
http://www.register.com/
http://www.dotster.com/
http://www.000domains.com/

We don't force our clients to register their domain names with us.

How do I contact InterNIC?
URL: http://www.internic.net

How long does it take before my domain name is active?
It usually takes about 24-72 hours before it is visible to all users of the Internet. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. This process is called propagation.

Why can't I create sub-domains?
If you receive an error when creating sub-domains, open a ticket and request for sub-domains to be enabled.

NOTE: If your domain is not pointing to our nameserver and is still in the progress of been transferred, you CANNOT create sub-domains. You will have to wait until your domain has fully propagated before you can create sub-domains.

Is there any charge to transfer my domain name to Cybersolution.biz?
If you would like to host your domain on our servers, we will help transfer your domain name to Cybersolution.biz at no additional charge.

In case you would like to transfer your domain from Network Solutions to our registrar, there is a one time $15 domain transer fee. Your domain name will be renewed for another one year from the current expiration date automatically.

Can I have multiple domain names pointed to my current website?
Yes, we can point additional domain names to your main account.

Can I have additional domain names pointed to a subdirectory on my account?
We can not point the second domain name to a different folder in your main account. Our domain name pointing service will point the second domain name to the same directory of the main website. We do not offer multiple domain name hosting under one package unless stated.

How do I transfer my domain name to CyberSolution.biz?
First, do a whois search for your domain name and see who the registrar is. You would need to contact that registrar and have them transfer your domain name to our DNS numbers.

Primary Server Hostname: NS.DNSPROTECT.COM Primary Server Netaddress: 209.51.132.250

What is a domain name?
A domain name is your address on the Internet. It is linked to a numerical address called an IP address (e.g., 211.225.471.38). The Internet uses Internet Protocol (IP) numbers to locate other computers. Internet users would typically have a hard time remembering these long strings of numbers to find sites. Domain names were developed to allow users to name these (IP) addresses with easy to remember names or phrases.

What is a NIC handle?
Every entity registered with InterNIC has a NIC handle. You can use the same NIC handle as the contact for several domains. This way, if you make a change to the NIC handle (i.e., the e-mail address), all domains using that NIC handle will be updated as well.
